Most of the time, Google News' algorithm for selecting thumbnail photos to go with its thumbnail news stories works. Sometimes, though, it produces oddities.

And sometimes it produces gut-busters. It took me a moment to realize what the connection here was (the key phrase is "$1 billion"):




UPDATE: I checked out that "World Fitness" website, and it turns out to be editorial comment on their part (the photo of Dr. Evil has the file name "kraft-acquire-united-biscuits.jpg," perhaps with an eye to getting it on Google news).
