The Waco Symphony threw me a birthday concert

They may not realize it, but they did. :-) Strauss's Fledermaus Overture and Mendelssohn's Third Symphony made up the first half, then after the intermission, guest pianist David Syme came out for Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto. 'Twas quite lovely.

Work was not lovely — there was a lot of catching up to do after my time off — but the concert more than made up for it.
